ECHA has launched consultations on four applications for authorisation and six review reports covering 13 uses of:
- Chromium trioxide (EC 215-607-8, CAS 1333-82-0)
- Used in the functional chrome plating of helicopter transmission parts and the treatment of their surfaces to prevent corrosion.
- Used in the manufacture of printed circuit boards.
- Used in the treatment of components used in industrial gas turbines and associated components.
- Sodium dichromate (EC 234-190-3, CAS 10588-01-9)
- Used in the treatment of metals, composites and sealings of anodic films, in the production of transmissions for helicopters and their maintenance.
- Used in the formulation of mixtures intended for supply for authorised uses.
- Potassium dichromate (EC 231-906-6, CAS 7778-50-9)
- Use of potassium dichromate-based mixtures during the etching of CZT layers in the production of opto-electronic components.
- Arsenic acid (EC 231-901-9, CAS 7778-39-4)
- Used in the manufacture of printed circuit boards.
- 2-ethylhexyl 10-ethyl-4,4-dioctyl-7-oxo-8-oxa-3,5-dithia-4-stannatetradecanoate (EC 239-622-4, CAS 15571-58-1)
- Used for the formulation of mixtures containing DOTE.
- Used for the formulation of PVC dry mixtures (granules and pellets) containing DOTE.
- Used for the manufacture of PVC articles containing DOTE as stabiliser.
- Tetraethyllead (EC 201-075-4, CAS 78-00-2)
- Used for the formulation of aviation fuel.
